For many of you that may have questions about our upcoming Summer Tournament Program; we are in a “WAIT & SEE” mode. We are committed to make the right, and more so educated, decision(s) for the safety and well-being of our athletes, coaches, umpires and fans.
Our first tournament is approximately 6 weeks away and the facts, figures, news, restrictions etc. are changing on an hour by hour or minute by minute basis. As many of you are aware President Trump recently announced that he has extended his guidelines until April 30, 2020 and Governor Wolf followed suit this morning by suspending schools until further notice and adding additional counties to the "stay-at-home" list. There are currently 26 counties under a "Stay-at-Home" order and I think I speak for all of us when I say; we are extremely hopeful that all of the restrictions work to slow the spread and that we are able to social distance on bases that are 60 feet apart sooner rather than later.
With that all being said, we are monitoring the situation closely and we will make the best decision possible when it is necessary. We all have many more important things to worry about at this time but we wanted to ensure that you know we are monitoring the situation.
Be safe, stay well and we will keep you up to date as things continue to develop.
As always thanks for your support and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Please remember to continue to use caution and follow the guidelines from the CDC below:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands. • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. • Stay home when you are sick. • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
